| I purchased this Conair NM6R hot/cold neck massager because my doctor told me I have a pinched nerve in my neck causing me shoulder pain. I have not used the "cold" pack function yet (and probably won't), and the "hot" function can be used when plugged in (not with battery function), but it really does not get noticeably hot. The massaging unit, however, works quite well and suits my needs to massage my neck. |

| If you're looking for light massage to the neck/shoulder region, then this massager would be a great benefit for you. It rests about the same way that a shoulder harness of a roller coaster ride would - and the term rests applies, as in it only sits on your neck/shoulders and vibrates. So, to take care of light work on your muscles, if that's all you're looking for, then this is great. If you're looking for something that works deeper into your muscles, then this would not work because you can't get it to work into your muscles deeply enough. So, very simply, it's perfect for light massage, but not for deep/deeper massages. |

| This massaging neck rest seems like a good idea, but they should have made it differently. It doesn't form to the neck and shoulders, just sits there on pressure points. If I try to use the strap across the front to get it in place, it just cuts off my carotids. If they stuck to heat, made the exterior softer ( using rice or even a heating gel ) it might work, but this is a miss. The vibration is just not soothing, and the heat takes forever to get going and do the job. I'll stick to a nice microwave herbal pack. |
