Not so much hyped up!! I am going because there are a few things I want. But all in all the sales are horrible this year its not worht the getting up at 1 and sleeping outside the store. There are so many other sales going on that saving money on black friday is not even an issue this year.

OMG i can’t wait too!!!

I never do Black Friday. Did it once and due to crowds and lines only managed to get one thing I wanted – everything went off sale before I could get to the other stores. Plus money is tight this year and I’m cutting back on number and cost of gifts anyway.

Also be aware when buying gift cards this year I got this email :
I wanted to give everyone a heads up that if you tend to give gift cards around
the holidays, you need to be careful that the cards will not be honored after
the holidays. Stores that are planning to close after Christmas are still
selling the cards through the holidays even though the cards will be worthless
January 1. There is no law preventing them from doing this. On the contrary, it
is referred to as ‘Bankruptcy Planning).

No I’m not going. I’d rather spend a little more later and not have to deal with crazy people all day.

We have gotten up early to wait in line in front of stores for the past three years now. I’m not a fan of waking up early, especially when I have the day off, but I’m usually glad that I go. We usually pick up a few of the door busters and save them for gifts over the years (last year was several sets of pyrex that became wedding presents in the summer). This year it seems like many stores aren’t waiting for Black Friday to start making sales to draw in the crowd, but it should still be as busy as usual when we roll up to the mall at 4 in the morning. I’ll check the adds a day to two before BF to see where we’ll be heading off too, but JC Penny will likely be on the list (gotta get the free Mickey globe!).
